Description
About Puerh Tea
Pu-erh tea has been harvested in the Yunnan Province for 1,700 years, and the medicinal and health benefits of pu-erh tea has been touted for for centuries. Pu-erh is harvested from the Camellia sinensis tree like all tea, but the leaves of the pu-erh tea variety are broad leaves. It is these broad leaves that yield a higher oxidation level when the tea is fermented that is believed to produce pu-erh tea’s health benefits.
THE WONDERFUL HEALTH BENEFITS OF PUERH TEA
Reducing Cardiovascular Risk
Pu-erh tea comes in a variety of forms and is either raw or unfermented or fermented and processed. Studies have found that fermented pu-erh reduces the lipids or fats in the blood and can be used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disorders because it reduces blood lipids.
Antioxidants and Cancer Prevention
All teas made from the Camellia sinensis plant contain antioxidants called catechins that help fight cancer. Pu-erh that is processed and allowed to ferment is a black tea that also contains catechins. Catechins in pu-erh tea lock onto the oxidating elements in the blood and destroy the oxidative process thereby preventing cancer.
Slimming & Anti-Obesity
Pu-erh tea is known for helping to regulate body weight. Studies have found that pu-erh tea had a greater ability to regulate and reduce body weight than any other tea studied. The study concluded that the compounds found in the pu-erh tea that had an anti-obesity effect were catechins, caffeine, and theanine. Pu-erh tea was also shown to reduce the fat content in the liver in various studies.

Xiaohui –
I am liking puerh rose very much. Firstly I am an avid puerh tea drinker so I do know my puerh teas. This puerh tea has a tea base that is properly aged: it has a deep woody flavor with a damp leaf flavor that is sought after.
I also appreciate that real roses are used as the only rose flavor, I was at first certain it was going to be one of those teas with terrible fake rose flavors, but I am glad I enquired and was informed none of that is used. Such authenticity is hard to find these days with people’s taste buds becoming commercialised, but those who know and care about health will know the value of authentic puerh teas.
Li Jie –
The most delightful combination of rosebuds and puerh tea. The roses are fresh and pink, none of those scattered torn bits of brown petals I get with other brands of teas (even the really expensive ones). Craftsman tea does carry good quality teas, rich and rosy, puerh rose tea is my all time favourite!

Puerh tea with rose or lavender are my life saving pick me ups everyday. Really gets rid of the lethargy I get after lunchtime from all the carbs and also probably the hot weather. Brew a cup and you will feel super relaxed and zen.
Bee Luan –
There are a few rose puer teas being sold but this one from craftsman tea is of the best quality. From the visuals (rosebuds are actually fresh and pink, the puerh tea opens up to a beautiful whole wet leaf), to the aroma (woody, earthy and rosy), to the taste (intensely rich with notes of wood and florals), this one is the winner. Worth every cent and every cup.

Very Very good puerh tea. The entire puerh tea range is fantastic, I recommend the entire range if you are a puerh tea collector!

A very good puerh tea. The tea base is well selected, I discern more woody notes to complement the freshly floral roses. Rich and very smooth with low astringency, like how a slow and well aged puerh should be. I appreciate the detail gone into the tea selection. Keep up the fantastic work.

Puerh tea with a cheeseboard is the most heavenly combination. Entire range of puerh is of top quality, including this one. I’m hoping for more puerh blends to add to my home collection!
