Perhaps the most famous oolong from Anxi, Fujian, China, Iron Bodhisattva tea has a soft orchid aroma and floral-perfumed taste that leads to a sweet finish. It has a lingering floral scent and smooth undertones.
According to legend, the tea’s origin dates back to a Buddhist devotee who dreamt of an extraordinary tea tree. To his surprise, the tree appeared the next morning on his way to the plantation.
Captivated by its unique metallic-like leaves and the tea’s resemblance to the Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, he named it Tie Guanyin, the Iron Bodhisattva.

Have gone through a few cups of this Iron Bodhisattva tea, and I must say, the experience is worth sharing!
First, let’s talk about the aroma. As soon as I opened the package, I was greeted by a soft orchid fragrance that instantly transported me to a serene garden. It’s the kind of aroma that makes you pause and take a deep breath, filling your senses with a calmness. I brewed my first cup, and the aroma only intensified.
When I took my first sip, I was struck by the floral-perfumed taste. It’s elegant and gentle, almost like sipping on a delicate bouquet of flowers. Layers of flavor start to unfold beautifully starting from floral into a lasting sweetness that stays on your mind. It’s fascinating how the tea manages to be both complex and approachable at the same time. I had an excellent oolong tea experience!

The Tie Guan Yin from Craftsman Tea is truly impressive! Far from what the supermarket tells us Tie Guan Yin is. you can tell there’s something special about this tea, especially with its fascinating origin story. It’s definitely one of the best oolongs I’ve had. Perfect for a relaxing afternoon or a moment of reflection. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves floral teas! (without flowers)

A very good Tie Guanyin tea. When I drink Tie Guanyin, it has to be like breathing in flowers. This tea certainly lived up to that, a must try for all Tie Guanyin lovers out that, the quality is top of the line.

I had to try this because it is one of the most famous teas in the world. Very good tea, nothing like any other tea I have tried. Very clean on the palate, the taste is bright and the floral notes really come through, reminds me of fresh orchids or magnolias. Extremely smooth, but be careful not to oversteep, I find 2 to 3 mins with boiling water is just nice, so do follow the brewing instructions and don’t forget about it steeping!

My all time favourite tea. I have been drinking this everyday and notice my skin is looking smoother and clearer. My head feels clearer too, with none of the brain fog I used to get. And the flavor is fantastic. I think you really do get what you pay for, do try this tea and see if you experience the benefits like I do.

I have tried Ti Guanyin from many tea sellers, this is hands down the best. Top notch quality, very carefully selected by the tea seller. Grateful for the effort that seller has put into selecting this tea, it is definitely authentic Ti Guanyin. This one has smooth undertones that add to its charm that sets it apart from other Ti Guanyins in the market. I really enjoyed this one, a very delightful experience. THANK YOU!

A tea of amazing quality! I did not expect to get such good tea at this price point. Nevertheless be careful not to oversteep, 3 min should be good for really hot water. Otherwise the astringency comes out (good for you if you like that) which takes away some of the lovely lovely floral notes. Seller is legit – have placed another order to stock up on traditional teas.
